The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Region VII (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska) invites you to participate in the New Mexico Tech University “Prevention of and Response To Suicide Bombing Incident” training course hosted through Zoom. The course guides first responders through the Nine Phases of a Bombing Incident as they relate to suicide bombers (beginning with bomber recruitment) with interdiction opportunities presented at every phase. First responders are provided with information on Suicide Bomber Improvised Explosive Devices (SBIEDs), SBIED component recognition, and delivery methods. Additionally, first responders are presented with the tools to recognize a suicide bombing threat and countermeasure planning tools to prevent and/or mitigate the effects of such an attack. This information enables first responders to return to their organizations and maximize efforts and planning for suicide bombing threats.
