This National Preparedness Month, the DHS Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships in partnership with FEMA’s Individual Assistance, Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation Divisions is hosting a webinar to provide information about FEMA funding opportunities available for hazard mitigation projects and recent changes to recovery programs to increase equity and enable faith-based and community leaders to access funding and support the preparedness, response, and recovery of communities they love.
National Preparedness Month (NPM) is an observance each September to raise awareness about the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies that could happen at any time. The 2021 theme is “Prepare to Protect. Preparing for disasters is protecting everyone you love.” We encourage you to share preparedness messages with your communities from our website, National Preparedness Month | Ready.gov.
This webinar was designed to provide information about FEMA funding opportunities available for hazard mitigation projects and recent changes to recovery programs to increase equity and enable DHS Center partners to access funding and support the preparedness, response, and recovery of communities.
