The National Center for Disaster Preparedness at Columbia University will be conducting a live virtual workshop for:

FEMA Course MGT-472: Planning for Transitional and Long-Term Housing After a Major Disaster

Prerequisites: Pre-test, Part I: Independent Study

Live virtual training will present information on:

• Lessons on the basics and best practices of disaster housing planning and implementation
• Guidance on implementing FEMA’s Transitional Sheltering Assistance, Disaster Case Management programs, and HUD’s Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery program
• Best practices for establishing and sustaining active disaster housing task forces that coordinate the delivery of transitional sheltering emergency repairs, temporary housing, case management services, and long-term housing recovery assistance from federal, state, local, and non-profit sector partners
